Danny R. Smith, founder and chief investigator of DRS Investigations, LLC, is a former L.A. Sheriff's Homicide detective with more than 21 years of law enforcement experience. Danny has been engaged in corporate security, private security, law enforcement, private investigation and consulting, continuously since 1980.
As such, he has investigated thousands of civil, criminal and domestic cases. In his law enforcement career, Danny investigated hundreds of cases involving the use of deadly force, and is a court recognized expert in the fields of Homicide Investigation and Investigative Procedure.
Danny retired from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in 2004, departing law enforcement with scores of accolades and commendations including the Medal of Distinguished Service.
